This is a question about junior students. My son is 12 years old and plans to stay for 24 weeks without a parent. Can your school accommodate him?

Yes, our school has experience with junior students studying alone, and your son can be admitted under the following conditions:

  • Travel arrangements: Children under the age of 15 usually cannot travel alone on a plane. A parent should accompany the student to the school, or you may use a Junior Alone transportation service.
  • Supervision: Junior students can stay at the school without their parents. A supervisor will be assigned to manage attendance, homework, and counseling, and will send parents daily updates about what the student learned that day.
  • Communication with parents: If communication in your native language is needed regarding your child’s studies or daily life, you can contact our school’s marketing manager.
  • Accommodation rules: Junior students will be assigned a roommate, usually a manager or office staff member. They must check in at a designated time, and cell phone use is restricted after 10 PM. Smoking and drinking are strictly prohibited.
  • Going out: Students are only allowed to go out with parental consent, and a teacher or staff member must accompany them.
  • Fees: There is no additional management fee for juniors studying abroad alone.
