Summary of the course contents:

  • Intensive presentation class
  • Entry level requires intermediate or higher (equivalent to IELTS 4.5, TOEIC 690 or higher)
  • Elective class of customized subjects
  • Collaboration with TOEIC course

This business course is run semi-Spartan, but the amount of study is quite heavy during class time. 1-2 hours of presentation classes every day, business expressions by native speakers, and elective classes that fit your job type will require considerable advance study due to the depth of the classes.

Presentation class is allocated for 1-2 hours.

Depending on the presence or absence of one-on-one Native Speaker's class, it is divided into Regular ESL and Native ESL.

  • The class unit is 45 minutes, 5 minutes’ break. However, 5th and 10th classes are 40 minutes.

  • NATIVE SPEAKERS CORRECT YOUR PRONUNCIATION AND TEACH PRACTICAL BUSINESS EXPRESSIONS CURRENTLY USED IN THE US AND UK BUSINESS FIELD.
  • ELECTIVE COURSES: If you are currently working in a specific job, you can choose a class related to your job. These elective courses will guide you in depth in business English.
  • TOEIC COLLABORATION: Our Business and TOEIC course curriculum are operated in cooperation with each other. If you wish, you can choose TOEIC subjects.
  • SEMI-SPARTAN STYLE: Somewhat loose regulations apply. You can go out freely after school and school regulations are not strictly applied.

ADMISSION QUALIFICATION & DATE

  • Entry level: INTERMEDIATE (301+) ENGLISH LEVEL IS REQUIRED for admission to this course. IELTS 4.5, TOEIC 690 or equivalent English level. You can determine whether you can take this course or not through the Admission Interview (online) before and after registration.
  • Admission date: Every Sunday (please inquire in advance for Saturday Admission)

COURSE DURATION

  • 1-12 weeks
  • However, this course is recommended for up to 12 weeks, so if you are studying abroad for more than 12 weeks, we recommend taking other courses before or after this course.

EXAM & FEEDBACK

  • Placement Test: This test is conducted on Monday morning on the first day after admission. It identifies the student's weaknesses and strengths by level by area. This test is also helpful for group class assignment.
  • Weekly Test: This test is conducted every Wednesday at 17:00, and evaluates vocabulary and grammar. Participation is optional.
  • Progress Test: Diagnostic assessment conducted every 4th week of the month after admission. This test is conducted during vacant time or group class time, so as not to interfere with regular classes as much as possible.
    However, the progress test of the business course can be replaced with a presentation.
  • TOEIC Mock Test: Every Saturday afternoon. Those who do not take the TOEIC course can also participate. Those who wish to participate must apply in advance at the office.
  • IELTS Mock Test: Every Saturday afternoon. Those who do not take the IELTS course can participate, but in this case, there is a fee. Those who wish to participate must apply in advance at the office.

Even students in the semi-Spartan program can sign up for night classes from 19:00 for 1 hour. However, attendance and other factors will be monitored.
