Overview of CLARK
Clark City is about 3.5 hours away from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, and Korea by air. It is almost the same size as Singapore and was once the largest US overseas airbase. It is a special economic zone which is directly managed by the President of the Philippines. Security, communications, water and sewage are all managed independently.
• Safe and Convenient
The safety of our students is our Number 1 concern. Because of its reputation for safety, the Clark/Angeles area has the highest number of foreign residents in the Philippines. There are also many modern conveniences not far from CIP, including three major malls with bowling alleys, cinemas, and hundreds of shops, services and restaurants. The wide roads mean that Clark/Angeles does not have the traffic and pollution problems usually experienced by major cities.
• Great location for Travel and Activities
Clark International Airport is 20 minutes by car from CIP, and students can travel both internationally and locally at lower prices than from other airports in the Philippines. Beaches, mountains, nature reserves and historic sites can all be found 1 to 2 hours from CIP, allowing students to enjoy island hopping, scuba-diving, paragliding, hiking, camping and many other activities.
• An International Hub
With its international airport and Special Economic Zone status, Clark/Angeles is a popular choice for major international conferences such as APEC and ASEAN. Also, the 30th SEA Games was held in New Clark City in November, 2019. The luxury hotels, resorts, golf clubs, sport centres and entertainment venues make this a world-class business and leisure destination.
• A Multi-National Environment
Clark/Angeles’ international outlook makes it an ideal place to learn English. There are thousands of American, Australian, Asian and European residents, in addition to people from many other countries. CIP students are provided with opportunities to engage with Clark’s international community through outreach activities and internship programs.
